The Family Room

The Family Room is an organization that offers visitation spaces for families experiencing foster care separation, offering a supportive alternative to traditional supervised visitations (typically in a DHS office with parent and child observed behind a 2-way mirror). The Family Room’s mission is to increase the likelihood that children living in foster care can safely and successfully reunite with their birth parents. They do this by offering safe spaces for foster youth and their birth parent to meet, talk, read, play, and share a meal together.
