CCPOBF/"Shop With A Cop" Volunteer event
Dec 02, 2023 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The Rotary Club of Milwaukie is excited to participate in the Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation's annual "Shop With A Cop" event again.  CCPOBF will be helping 200 children from Clackamas County this year. They will be paired with a law enforcement officer to shop. Participants in SWAC have had enforcement contact with police or require assistance for a variety of reasons. Sometimes this may involve an adult family member or older sibling who may have been arrested.

Volunteers are needed to work in the "wrapping room" and will wrap the gifts that each child selects!

This is a fun, family-friendly opportunity to make a great impact in our community & spread some holiday cheer!

Andrea Pickett Exe. Director w/ My Father's House

Mar 26, 2024

My Father’s House is a non-profit shelter ministry that opened to meet the needs of homeless families.  The men, women and children in homeless families often sleep in their cars, crash on friends’ couches, or go from home to home just to survive. Many of these families have no idea of how to obtain or keep a job. Some need professional counseling. All of them need HOPE.

Club Vision Facilitation Retreat
Apr 06, 2024 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Vision Facilitation helps a Rotary club design its OWN VISION, and to set out the steps necessary to achieve that vision.  The result is not a vision decided by the Rotary District or by Rotary International: it is a vision designed and agreed by the Club’s own members. The process will help to improve communication and to ensure continuity & consistency in its leadership & programming so as to set the stage for future progress.

Please join us in creating OUR CLUB VISION on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Columbia Rubber Mills (14800 SE 82nd Drive).

To discuss Systems Plan and Community Engagement for NCPRD

May 14, 2024

IMAGINE THE FUTURE OF PARKS AND RECREATION IN NORTH CLACKAMAS

North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) will soon be updating the districtwide System Plan, which will shape the foundation for the future of the District.

The System Plan will be informed and driven by research, analysis, and public input, including diverse and underserved voices in the community. Your thoughts and feedback regarding NCPRD’s parks, trails, programs, and facilities will help leave a lasting legacy for generations to come!

What is a System Plan?
The System Plan is a 20-year guide and strategic plan providing a comprehensive view of all NCPRD parks, facilities, services, goals, policies, operations and facilities. It will be a road-map for the future, and will help us identify and meet the changing needs of a more diverse community.

Timeline
The project is expected to begin community engagement and outreach by fall of 2023. A draft System Plan is expected to be completed by mid-2024.
