The Family Room
Sep 01, 2026
The Family Room is an organization that offers visitation spaces for families experiencing foster care separation, offering a supportive alternative to traditional supervised visitations (typically in a DHS office with parent and child observed behind a 2-way mirror). The Family Room’s mission is to increase the likelihood that children living in foster care can safely and successfully reunite with their birth parents. They do this by offering safe spaces for foster youth and their birth parent to meet, talk, read, play, and share a meal together. |

Sep 29, 2026
Controversy swirls around the Electoral College. Twice in the last generation it has awarded the Presidency to a candidate with a minority of the popular vote. Strong voices call for it to be reconstructed. Is it obsolete? Is it fair? Should the rules be updated? What are the facts? What are the options? Jerry will discuss a non-partisan way forward in Electoral College reform. |
